How to get a PDF signed by someone else — free, no account needed for them

Signing a PDF yourself is easy. The annoying case is the other person: a landlord, a client, a co-founder who "doesn't have a PDF thing" on their phone. Mainstream e-sign services solve this with per-envelope pricing and forced sign-ups on both ends.

How a signature request works here

With Request Signature:

1. You upload the PDF (up to 3MB) and enter the signer's email.
2. They receive a private link — a long unguessable token, no account or app required.
3. They see the document, draw their signature with finger or mouse, choose where it goes, and the signature is stamped into the PDF in their browser.
4. You get an email with the signed copy ready to download; the request list shows pending / signed / declined status.

The signer can also decline, which notifies you — better than a request silently dying.

Is a drawn signature legally valid?

In many jurisdictions — including under Bangladesh's Information & Communication Technology Act, the EU's eIDAS "simple electronic signature" tier, and the US ESIGN Act — a simple electronic signature like a drawn mark can be legally effective for ordinary agreements, and courts weigh the surrounding evidence (who was emailed, who had the link). Practical tips

• Put the date next to the signature line in the document before sending; drawn signatures don't add one automatically.
