Passport photo size by country
Most countries follow the ICAO standard of 35×45mm with the head 32–36mm from chin to crown. The ones that don't are where applications get rejected — the United States uses a 51×51mm square, Canada 50×70mm, China 33×48mm, Türkiye 50×60mm.

Each country page shows the head-height rule, background colour, digital upload limits where they exist, and links to the issuing authority. Requirements do change — India moved from 51×51mm to 35×45mm in September 2025 — so check the instruction from the office handling your application before printing.
