Will the Word file be editable, or just an image of the PDF?
It's a real, editable .docx — paragraphs, headings and (where detectable) tables come across as actual Word content you can edit, not a picture of the page.
Does it handle scanned PDFs?
Not directly — this converts the existing text layer of a PDF into Word. If your PDF is a scanned image with no text, run it through OCR first, then convert the result.
Will complex layouts (columns, tables) convert perfectly?
Most documents convert cleanly, but very complex multi-column layouts or heavily nested tables may need minor manual touch-up afterward — this is a known limitation of PDF-to-Word conversion in general, not just here.
Is PDF to Word free to use?
Yes — PDF to Word is free to use. It runs on our servers, so the Free plan includes a daily allowance; Premium removes the limits and raises the file-size cap.
