Will resizing distort my image?
Not if you keep the aspect-ratio lock on — the tool scales width and height together. Distortion only happens if you deliberately set both dimensions to a different shape than the original; use Crop to Aspect first to change shape without squashing.
Does making an image bigger improve it?
No — upscaling can't add detail that was never captured; it just spreads existing pixels over more area, which reads as blur. Resize down freely, but avoid upscaling for anything quality-sensitive.
