MP3, WAV, or M4A — which do I want?
MP3 plays everywhere and is small — the default for voice and casual music. WAV is uncompressed and huge but lossless, right when the audio goes into further editing. M4A/AAC is slightly better than MP3 at the same size if your destination supports it.
Is Convert Audio free to use?
Yes — Convert Audio is free to use. It runs on our servers, so the Free plan includes a daily allowance; Premium removes the limits and raises the file-size cap.
Are my files uploaded or stored anywhere?
Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, processed, and automatically deleted from our servers shortly after — typically within an hour. We never read, share or keep your documents.
Do I need to install anything or create an account?
Nothing to install — everything happens online. You'll need a free account so we can queue your job and keep your result private to you.
